Chapel Hill Church is a community of believers who strive to live and worship together as dedicated disciples of Jesus Christ. We strive to be a church of disciples, who go beyond just being members. Our hope and our prayer is that all who attend Chapel Hill Church will desire to further their walk with Christ by intentionally helping one another grow in conformity to Jesus’s teaching and example. We strive for spiritual maturity by seeking to be discipled, and we accept the responsibility to disciple others. It is our belief that the Holy Spirit will respond to our prayer that all will be equipped in this “disciple making process.”
All who have received Christ as their Lord and Savior are welcome to make a “public covenant” at Chapel Hill Church to be discipled and to disciple others. A covenant is an agreement between two or more parties. As willing disciples of Jesus, we covenant with God and also
with his church. (Psalm 103:17-18, Matthew 26:26-29, Hebrews 8:7-13)
A disciple who chooses to make this “public covenant” should already be baptized or should be committed to do so at the next available opportunity. We believe that Jesus’ discipleship plan gives every disciple responsibilities.
All disciples have distinct and specific tasks to perform for the Kingdom.
